POGO, the greatest comic-strip in the world, featured literally hundreds of characters in its 20+ years. Of those, several were women. Three of the best-known characters were Miss Mam'selle Hepzibah the skunk, Miz Beaver, and Miss Sis Boombah. All three played important parts in the comic-strip from January thru August 1969 in a storyline that was collected in the trade paperback
