Happy Birthday, Gene Roddenberry!

Gene Roddenberry was born on August 18, 1921. He served in the Army Air Forces during World War II, then returned to California and worked as a police officer before he broke into screenwriting and then producing.



Today he is predominantly known as the creator of Star Trek. Although Gene passed away in 1991, his vision of the future is still with us, and probably always will be. Friends of Justice salutes a singularly creative man on what would have been his 94th birthday!
