Doll Man
Art by Murphy Anderson
dedicated to Lou Fine

This is another early Who's Who entry, wherein Doll Man is still placed squarely on Earth-X. We'll be sure to make a note when that historical description ceases to appear.

Doll Man's entry is almost exactly the same as Black Condor's, stating that the Freedom Fighters moved to Earth-One after the war finally ended, but then somehow resolved the issues of being thought a criminal and returned to Earth-X.

This is also the first time the Who's Who entry postulates that the Freedom Fighters remained young due to their constant proximity to Uncle Sam, the living embodiment of the Spirit of America.

Freedom of Information

  • Doll Man appears on the back cover.
  • Murphy Anderson admitted in the pages of Secret Origins #8 that Doll Man's story in Feature Comics #28 by Will Eisner and Lou Fine was the story that made him decide to be a comic-book artist himself.
