If you are of a certain generation, you know this song and this singer. As far as I know she never had another top-ten hit, but in Spring-Summer 1976 this song was everywhere. In 1994 Gloria Estefan recorded a cover, but the original will never be...er...beat. Unfortunatley, Vicki Sue Robinson died of cancer on April 27, 2000. She was only 45 years old. RIP
