Happy Birthday, John Mellencamp!

As I've written about before (here), John Mellencamp is one of my favorite singers. I listened to him all during high school and college. When I lived in Indiana (his home state) I would hear his songs on the radio all the time. Now whenever I drive through Indiana, I am sure to hear at least one of his songs. Also, I drove by the Lifestyle Pavilion Bar on Friday where I saw him in concert 8 years ago and that reminded me that he had a part in me moving to Columbus in the first place!

Yesterday October 7 was this living legend's 61st birthday. So to honor him on his birthday, here is his best-known song, the classic about growing up: Jack & Diane, from 1982.
